In 1972, the leading company in the food service equipment market in Brazil was born in the neighborhood of Bom Retiro, in the city of São Paulo: Macom

The company began by providing maintenance services, manufacturing stainless steel furniture and reselling imported equipment.
The name Macom comes from the combination of the words MAntenance and COMThe first was in 1979, when it had already made a name for itself in the gastronomy and fast food market.


With the start of supplying large fast food chains, in addition to the technological development and focus on quality resulting from these negotiations, the need arose to expand production capacity, and in 1985, Macom was transferred to the city of Guarulhos, where it began to produce cooking and refrigeration equipment in addition to furniture. In 2013, with growing demand, a branch was opened in Porto Feliz.
In July 2013, MACOM was acquired by the HOSHIZAKI Group, a Japanese multinational which is a global leader in the manufacture of food service equipment, operating in more than 60 countries and offering the best ice machines on the market. With this, MACOM became the 52nd company in the Hoshizaki Group, and joined its international brands such as Lancer, Gram, Jackson, among others.
Four years after its stabilization as the Hoshizaki Group, MACOM has unveiled a new positioning offering much more than customized kitchens, but rather complete and technological solutions for the Food Service market, with the new slogan “Excellence in what it does”.
In 2014, Marcos Farah, A specialist in new product development, electrical engineer, post-graduate in foreign trade, with an MBA in services marketing, he developed new projects, expanding Macom's operations, as well as structuring its positioning in the fast-food and gastronomy market.
In 2015, Jim Kuo, With a degree in engineering and an MBA in executive leadership, he brings all his experience to the transition of management with a focus on growth in sales, profitability and the implementation of corporate governance.
In September 2019, Macom inaugurated its new industrial center in Guarulhos, with more than 22,000 m². In a strategic location close to major highways, the plant employs around 300 people and also manufactures Hoshizaki ice machines, in addition to its renowned cooking, refrigeration, furniture and distribution lines.

In 2020, Macom is recognized in the market as a 100% legal company, standing out for its fiscal, tax, social and environmental integrity. Among the factors for this recognition we mention: 100% of CLT employees, 100% of sales complying with fiscal and tax legislation, being audited in accounting, IT, HR, internal controls, risks and compliance. That same year, Macom took over the supply of Hoshizaki ice machines for the whole of Latin America.
Today, Macom is recognized as the leading manufacturer of equipment and systems for professional kitchens in Latin America, with a portfolio of complete solutions and supplies for clients such as: McDonalds, Bob's, Burger King, Ragazzo, Subway, Outback, Starbucks, Olive Garden, Vienna, Sukya, China in Box, Madero, Fogo de Chão, Mania de Churrasco, Cinemark, Cinépolis, Giraffas, Bradesco, Petrobras, Mercado Livre, Bosh, Itaú, Eletrolux, Ibis, Marriot, Accor, Copacabana Pallace, Pullman, Royal Palm Plaza, Hospital Samaritano, Albert Einsten, among many others.
