From May 16 to 19, Macom took part in the 36th edition of Apas Show 2022. The event is aimed at the supermarket sector in Brazil and abroad, and is recognized as the largest food and beverage fair in the Americas. This year, the fair presented a new concept “Beyond Food”, which reflects its positioning of offering absolutely everything relevant to the sector: supplies, technology and innovation.
On the second day of the fair, the record number of visitors was broken. This was a remarkable achievement, with the streets and stands always full. The sales and marketing team didn't take a moment's rest, and every day the stand was full of people from the sector looking for solutions, news and innovations for their businesses.

In these areas, Macom put on a show, presenting solutions such as: Fri-jado electric roasting ovens, automatic fryers with exhaust, ballast ovens, grills, display cases, ice machines, refrigerators and freezers. Throughout the event, there were demonstrations of equipment preparations, so that everyone could see the differentials of all the equipment on display at the fair. To do this, Macom relied on corporate chefs who were also able to answer technical questions about the preparations.
Macom enlisted the support of a number of partners for the practical demonstrations during the fair: The EasyCook automatic fryer was used to prepare high-quality potatoes from Farm Frites (www.farmfrites.com). In the Fri-jado ovens, various cuts of noble meat from Cara Preta (www.carapretaoficial.com.br) and the showcases, shelves and Grab & Go were surprisingly beautiful, displaying Britvic's drinks (www.lojabritvic.com.br)
Macom's stand was innovative and surprising, eschewing classic standards and bringing a modern architectural concept, setting the scene for a rotisserie corner common in the biggest supermarkets. There was no shortage of praise from visitors, partners, suppliers, customers, internal staff and representatives. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Macom showed the new format of its catalogs, divided by equipment category, presenting the printed version of the cooking catalog, with lots of details and listing all the features and differentials of each piece of equipment.
The APAS Show was designed to do business, improve relationships and provide a great opportunity to keep up with news in the sector. Important contacts were made during these 4 days, generating high expectations of closing great deals. Macom would like to thank everyone involved in organizing the event for their commitment and dedication, and looks forward to repeating the same success at future fairs.
